Chelsea Clinton has described Satanism as a “religion” that “deserves our respect”, as the “Satan-gate” scandal continues spiraling out of control, threatening to derail the spawn of Bill and Hillary Clinton’s budding political aspirations.
The 37-year-old Clinton, fired back at critics who denounced her
warm greeting to the Church of Satan on Twitter on January 1, claiming
that Satanists, devil-worshippers and Luciferians deserve civility and
respect.

Satanism to her own religion, Methodist Christianity, and her husband’s

The Church of Satan openly worship the Beast, and claim that Evil is a state of being worth striving for. They describe their “religious belief” as such:

Chelsea Clinton’s Satan-gate incident is merely the latest example of a public figure normalizing Satanism.
Jay-Z described Jesus Christ as “the original fake news“ late in 2017. Miley Cyrus said “Hail Satan” on live radio and claimed she has a closer relationship with the devil than with her “earthly father“, Billy Ray. Rihanna was caught telling children in Barbados that “if Jesus hasn’t answered your prayers, try praying to Satan.“
These incidents have sparked fears around the world that the Illuminati
have moved onto the next phase of their masterplan, and have begun
openly promoting dark spirituality as a viable religious choice for
those seeking guidance.
Chelsea Clinton’s attempt to normalize Satanism, telling her
followers that the “Church of Satan” is a religion that deserves
respect, is more than simple liberal politically correct hogwash. It is
subversive evil.

Si j'en crois la description faite par Chelsea Clinton du "satanisme" prôné par l'Eglise de Satan (désormais officielle aux États-Unis), il s'agit tout bonnement d'une philosophie matérialiste (au sens philosophique du terme) à savoir qu'il n'existe qu'un monde matériel et pas d'âme distincte/indépendante du corps charnel.

Le paradoxe c'est d'avoir besoin d'une entité spirituelle issue du panthéon judéo-chrétien pour justifier ou symboliser cela ! En effet, Satan (Sheitan/Shaitan pour les musulmans), c'est "celui qui a désobéi", mais à l'origine, il s'agissait de l'archange Lucifer ("le porteur de lumière").
L'épicurien que je suis n'a point besoin de divinités pour affirmer que le cosmos est matériel, sans transcendance, et indifférent à l'existence de moisissures et autres organismes charnels à la surface d'une planète tellurique humide; ni que l'esprit ("l'âme" diront les croyants) cesse d'exister en même temps que le corps charnel meurt (parce que l'esprit résulte du fonctionnement du système nerveux composé de cellules neuronales).
Sheitan, cheitan, Chaytan ou shaitan est un mot arabe venant d'Éthiopie qui signifie : diable. Dans un sens plus vaste, sheitan peut vouloir dire : démon, esprit pervers. Ce terme est étymologiquement issu de l'araméen et de l'hébreu : satan. Dans la tradition mystique, le Sheitan n'est pas le diable, mais le "juge" des morts pour Dieu. C'est lui qui présente aux défunts la vie qu'ils ont vécue telle qu'ils l'ont vécue, sans fards, sans mensonges, sans hypocrisie. De là, la suite peut être paradisiaque comme infernale.
Le nom Lucifer signifie en latin : « Porteur de lumière », de « lux (lumière) » et « ferre (porter) ».
À l'origine, pour les Romains, l'« astre du matin » (c'est-à-dire la planète Vénus) était un dieu appelé Lucifer. Précédant le soleil, il annonçait la venue de la lumière de l'aurore.
Les Chrétiens ont donné successivement trois sens au mot lucifer puis Lucifer. Le premier, adjectif, issu du sens latin « qui porte la lumière » a été utilisé par certains des premiers chrétiens avec le sens figuré de « qui porte la vérité ». En ce sens, il a pu être attribué au Christ lui-même. Le second, nom commun, issu du sens « étoile du matin » a été utilisé dans la Vulgate (première traduction latine de la Bible chrétienne) pour traduire l'expression « astre brillant » du livre d'Isaïe, entre autres. Le troisième, nom propre, sous la forme définitive de Lucifer, est devenu le nom d'un ange déchu pour s'être rebellé contre Dieu. Certains l'ont rapidement assimilé à Satan.
